community:<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>First:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Applicants should first download, fulfill the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/semnan.gias.ge\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Application-form-SEMUMS-NVU-2023.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Application form<\/a><\/strong> and sign it;<\/li><li>Applicants should then complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/semnan.gias.ge\/?page_id=48\"><b>Application<\/b><\/a>;<\/li><li>Send the Application, together with copies of the <b>documents<\/b>\u00a0necessary for the acquisition of student\u2019s status, to the following\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/semnan.gias.ge\/?page_id=48\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>link\u00a0<\/b><\/a>:<\/li><li>All documents not in English or not accompanied by a notarized English translation, must be translated either into English, French or German and be notarized;<\/li><li>Each applicant should enter his or her full name, passport number and desirable program title into the subject line of the email;<\/li><li>Within seven days after receiving the application, GIAS will arrange a Skype interview with the applicant, confirm that the potential student meets all the necessary admission requirements and consequently send a Conditional Offer Letter.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Second:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Following the receipt of the Conditional Offer Letter, each applicant must pay the initial tuition fee and submit his or her full name and passport number in the Purpose of Transfer line. Copy of the International passport, for stateless persons \u2013 a copy of a residence certificate;<\/p><p>2. One of the following qualification documents:<\/p><p>2.1 Bachelor\u2019s Diploma<\/p><p>2.2 A copy of the respective higher education qualification document, issued by an authorized higher education institution of a foreign country;<\/p><p>2.3 A copy of the document, providing for credits earned at a foreign higher education institution \u2013 for applicants, who are\/were taking Master\u2019s courses and earned credits at a foreign higher education institution, duly authorized commensurate with the law in force of the country concerned;<\/p><p>3. The applicants, who enrolled in a higher education institution commensurate with the Procedure of Enrolment without taking the Unified National Examination will be additionally required to present the following documents:<\/p><p>3.1 The copies of the qualification document acquired as a result of enrolment through the Procedure of Enrolment without taking the Unified National Examination \u2013 Diploma and Diploma Supplement;<\/p><p>3.2 An act of the head of the higher education institution, certifying the enrolment of the applicant concerned for the first cycle of higher education at a higher education institution through the Procedure of Enrolment without taking the Unified National Examination;<\/p><p>4. A photo (3X4);<\/p><p>5. One of the English language proficiency documents, envisaged by\u00a0<strong><u>Rules for Determination English Language Proficiency<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0(if there is such);<\/p><p>6. Proof of Proficiency in English at the B2 Level (specifically English for Medical Purposes Exam \u2013 EMPE, with a passing percentage of 70%)<\/strong><\/p><p>If a student scores 60% or more (60-69 %) on the EMPE, NVU offers preparatory courses in Medical English (free of charge).<br \/>If a student scores 50% or more (50-59 %) on the EMPE, NVU offers general and Medical English preparatory courses (free of charge).<br \/>All students are granted a second opportunity to pass the English Exam.<\/p><p><strong>II. The examination serves for:\u00a0<\/p><ul><li>the identification of the proficiency level, what enables an applicant to get registered for the components of an educational programme;<\/li><li>the selection of an adequate group for further learning, meaning the selection of the adequate one from English language components of various levels, envisaged by the programme; and\/or<\/li><li>the determination of the reasonability of offering an additional component (beyond the curriculum) by the University, when the required level of communication competence can be attained only through taking such a special course.
