Eastern Mediterranean University and Georgian International Academy of Sciences have agreed
upon the general terms, in accordance with a mutual desire for cooperation and collaboration aimed at improving, strengthening and promoting relations between the two respective institutions.
Both institutions hereby express their intention to promote cooperation between academic members, students and research groups.
Within the framework of the fields of common interest, both institutions will abide by the following general principles of consideration:
- Promoting and encouraging the exchange of academic staff and students for short and long term visits.
- Exchanging invitations to scholars and students to participate in academic activities such as training courses, lectures, conferences, symposia, workshops, and exchanges of experience.
- Facilitating exchange of experiences and opinions, to mutual benefit.
- Promoting and encouraging activities of joint research in fields of common interest.
- Exchanging research and educational data, where possible, to be used for education and training purposes.
- The establishment of a joint degree program between interested departments of both institutions.
- Setting up the international office of the Georgian International Academy of Sciences at the Eastern Mediterranean University for the development of scientific, educational and research cooperation with Iranian universities.
- Planning for Eastern Mediterranean University approval by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran for PhD programs and Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran for medical sciences programs.
